Sugaring
Sugaring is an effective, gentle and vegan hair removal method that at the same time exfoliates the skin to make it silky smooth. The sugar paste is made from 100% natural ingredients, and no animal tests were used in its development. It also does not cause allergic reactions. Sugar paste is so natural and pure that you can even eat it. Sugaring is suitable for all body hair and skin.
Hygiene
During sugaring, the hair is removed from the hair follicle, which reduces the growth of bacteria associated with the hair follicle. Bacteria and yeasts living on the surface of the skin cause an unpleasant odor when they come into contact with sweat. With regular sugaring, the skin is clean, and sweat does not smell.
Smoother, exfoliated skin
Sugaring removes dead skin cells from the skin, making the skin smoother and brighter. Moisturizer absorbs better into the skin after sugaring. Sugaring can also remove dyes and chemicals stuck on clothes from the skin. Tattoos also become brighter when dead skin cells are removed from them.
Short hair
When using the sugaring method, the hair can be at least 1mm long. Many of our experienced sugar artists know how to remove hair already 1-2 days after shaving.
Reduces ingrown hairs
Pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) is a common inflammatory reaction of hair follicles. Dead skin cells can block the mouth of the hair follicle and sometimes prevent new hair from growing. In this case, the skin may feel itchy and pimples may appear. Dry skin is more prone to such reactions. With regular sugaring and proper home care of the skin, the skin becomes healthy and smooth.
No broken hairs
In the sugar ionization method, the sugar paste is wrapped around the hair, making it flexible, at the same time it seeps into the mouth of the hair follicle, sticking to the small beginning of the hair. As sugaring progresses, even small hairs leave the hair follicle without breaking. In sugaring, the hair is always removed from the hair follicle in its natural growth direction, which helps to remove the hair without breaking it and, moreover, the customer does not feel discomfort.
Reduces hair growth
After several sugaring treatments, the hair follicle atrophies and the hair becomes softer all the time. Since sugar can remove the shortest and most delicate hairs, it is possible to remove hairs in their early stages of growth. This can lead to permanent hair loss.
Sheivaus vs sugaring
Shaving is a quick and easy way to remove hair, but it can cause skin irritation, skin cuts and ingrown hairs. During sugaring, hairs are removed with their roots, so the skin remains hairless and smoother for longer. In shearing, the hair is cut from the surface of the skin, so that the sharp stubble is exposed even the next day, which may cause itching and irritation on the skin.
Hair removers vs sugaring
The purpose of depilatory agents is to weaken the attachment of the hair to the skin. However, the substances are strong chemicals that can cause skin irritation, redness and tenderness.
Does sugaring hurt?
Sugar does not stick to living cells - only to hair and dead skin cells - so sugaring is gentle on the skin. Hair removal is always performed as quickly and painlessly as possible. The feeling of pain is individual and it is affected by many different factors, such as the general level of alertness, hormone cycle and some medications. The hair is removed from the hair follicle, causing a pinching sensation on the skin. When the hair is removed, the skin no longer feels painful. Usually, the first sugaring is more painful, but with regular sugaring, the quality of the hair deteriorates and the hair comes off the hair follicle more easily.
Who is sugaring suitable for?
Sugaring is basically a hair removal method suitable for everyone. Sugar is used at skin temperature, which makes it suitable for all skin areas. Sugaring does not break the skin, gently exfoliates the skin and is also safe to use on skin with varicose veins and psoriasis.
When can sugaring not be done?
If the treated area has skin diseases such as acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, sunburned skin, new scars or broken skin, hair removal is not recommended. Some drug courses, such as Roacuttan treatment, are also a contraindication for hair removal.
How often should sugaring be done?
Hair growth and the growth cycle is individual, so it is difficult to precisely define how often sugaring should be done. In the beginning, it would be good to go sugaring a little more often, but when the growth of the hair starts to slow down with regular sugaring, the treatment interval becomes longer. Usually a good break for sugaring is 3-5 weeks, at least in the beginning.
Professional vs home sugaring?
Sugaring should always be done on well-cleansed skin hygienically by a professional to avoid complications and risks. The sugaring technique also requires practice and an inexperienced user may cause broken and ingrown hairs. It also requires special skill and flexibility to be able to remove hair from all areas of the body (e.g. the back) yourself.
